11th of September

Not a great day for flying, the 11th of September. And after 22 hours, between long flights, 3, and waiting in freezing airports, we are back in Italy. With this picture in the eyes.
The last supper in Surin, at sunset.
See you soon!

A presto!

Nai Yang beach is the one we like more. It is remained original, if you can say so, still frequented by locals with wooden restaurants and a few fancy things. It is surrounded by the Sirinath National Park which is a real beauty. One of the places of worship of Grazia in the perennial search for wood and stone to take home.
Why I love it, you can easily understand. And as you can clearly see the wave is pretty darn far away! Surf or die, brother! Teaches the master Aloha Kurt.

E come potete ben vedere l'onda è maledettamente lontana! Surf or die, brother! Insegna il maestro Aloha Kurt.

Tonight we leave. How sad! It is always so. Nostalgia assails us again before we leave. Just the thought. And then, to be less sorrowful, we do stocks at Tesco Lotus: of detergents for the house and spices and foods for Italy. And I notice for the first time that the carriages that we use for the grocery store brand are Florence. Randomness.

The Saturday night the meeting is at Saphan Hin, Phuket Town, and the music shoots blaring. I already had them posted when we were to see them with Evaluna and Kita. A shot of sound from fear. Almost like clubbing. And when this stereo is ready, it will become one of Phuket's idols by night.
Instead, this old Vespa is beautiful indeed!

Quasi come in discoteca.

Today was last check by Otolaryngologist at the International Hospital. The causes of my snoring now are unknown. We just need to find the remedies!
Waiting for the Professor Pimpun (the name is fun but he is very good) I watched a bit of tv. Then, on leaving, I discovered that a fan of Liverpool had parked his scooter alongside my Manchester United (hired to beat price from Kik, also because it often does not start and I have to push).
We were in England I would have to scarring it! Hooligans!!!

Oggi ultimo controllo dall'otorino all'International Hospital.
Bisogna solo scoprirne i rimedi!
Fossimo in Inghilterra mi toccherebbe sfregiarlo! Hooligans!!!

Gosh! Now our Phuket is becoming a cool place! Beach Clubs at European prices.
Beautiful but preposterous? No!
They have great success, as the Catch of Surin beach, of which I have spoken unto you concerning the Friday Barbecue. A day at the beach at 1,500 baht, that is 40 euros, with food and drink included.
Our favorite beach club? Here It Is. Layan. 100 baht for 2 sunbeds under my favorite tree.

Diavolo!
Nascono beach club dai prezzi europei. Belli ma improponibili? No!

Today, on demand, I place a couple of photos of children made in recent weeks, so my aunt Mary, attentive and loyal follower of the blog, will be happy. Thai children are beautiful, even the males that soon lose much of the charm. Generally they have faces like robbers, real Street Brats.

And we're back to food. A must here in Thailand where you can eat at all times and everywhere, as in the rest of the Far East.
Suki. Abbreviation of Japanese dish, sukiyaki style yabemono, pot, with whom, the Thai version has little to do. If not the pot of broth in which you bathe vegetables, tofu, shrimp, mushrooms, various meats (not us) fish balls and more. A treat that, once cooked, you dip it in a special sauce. Here we are at MK, a chain of restaurants specializing in suki. Yummy, yummy!

Yummy, yummy!

What a sunset in Surin. In September, with four dogs (cats don't come to the beach), a Northern tribe seller (at least dressed as Hmong), and lifeguards to protect tourists adventurous who risk every time to drown because of strong undercurrents (unfortunately, every year there is always someone who dies).
And to think that the beaches of Phuket risked running out of the Bay Watch because nobody wanted to compete for the contract...
Little money for too much work. Then, fortunately, the situation has been resolved and these are the very fit Lifeguards with tuk tuk disco and a great desire to have fun at the end of the evening.

Today we touch a topic so far never treated. Beer.
We are now addicted to Thai Style, i.e. to drink beer with ice. Heresy! Yes!!! But you can do it with local beers, remain cool and more water is taken by less alcohol. I even do this concoction with light beer.
I admit I wouldn't ever do it with Guinness or a Belgian, but also with Italian beers is not blasphemy. Top local beers: Singha, Chang, Leo, Archa.
But look how much they drink. These are 10 liter containers ready to fill and pour in the restaurant. And speaking of quirks I never understood why you cannot buy alcohol in supermarkets before the 11:00 and between the 14:00 and the 17:00. Except you buy more than 10 litres.
Rightly they donot sell alcohol to persons under 20 years.

Oggi tocchiamo un argomento finora mai trattato. La birra.
Noi siamo ormai addicted al Thai Style, cioé a bere la birra col ghiaccio.
Eresia!

Breaking News. The famous paparazzo Grazia has caught Toad Maffo with his new girlfriend toad Giuliva in attitudes far from misunderstandings.
Just look at the grim expressions of them. To make you understand, just know that in kamasutra, the position with her on top and him under it's called frog. And between frogs and toads habits resemble each other.

Breaking News.
