A new puppy at home now that there is no more Maffo (our former domestic frog/toad, we never new)?
This frog was waiting me tonight stuck to the door. It will be a case that just yesterday I went to see Spiderman at the cinema?

Un nuovo cucciolo di casa ora che non c'è più Maffo (la nostra rana/rospo domestica)?
Questa ranocchia era ad attendermi stasera appiccicata alla porta. Sarà un caso che proprio ieri sono andato a vedere Spiderman al cinema?

9th of July

A new trendy place each year adds a new one. So they think the bosses of the Twin Palms that after opening at Tinlay Plaza the Bake, pastry and coffee shop and then the Flame, Rotisserie kebaberia, now they started Pasta. What you eat is easy to imagine. All open air bar and tables on the porch.

A un nuovo posto trendy ogni anno se ne aggiunge uno nuovo. Così pensano i boss del Twin Palms che dopo aver aperto a Tinlay Plaza il Bake, pasticceria coffe shop, e poi il Flame, rosticceria kebaberia, ora lanciano Pasta. Cosa si mangi è facile immaginarlo. Il tutto open air con bancone bar e tavoli sotto il portico.

8th of July

Evening Shopping at Tesco Lotus (open 7/7 days from 06:00 to 22:00) looking for seaweed, cashew nuts, mangoes and Singha Light (alcohol is only sold in a few hours). A bag of stuff, most two because of the scooter. Meeting at cashier: Muslim family with a child already in pajamas as the late hour. I Love Phuket!

Shopping serale al Tesco Lotus (aperto 7/7 giorni dalle 06:00 alle 22:00) alla ricerca di alghe, cashew nuts, manghi e Singha Light (gli alcolici sono venduti solo in alcuni orari). Un sacchetto di roba, massimo due visto lo scooter. Incontro alla cassa: famiglia mussulmana con bambino già in pigiama visto l'ora tarda. Amo Phuket!

7th of July

To whom priority? Easy. When encounters a herd of water buffalo, although you are in a residential area, and despite being left without signaling or tail lights (and if by mistake it happens at night you're really in trouble), I'm sure they have it. And, if you need to ovartake the herd, go with caution. Amazing that here in Thailand they don't know what is mozzarella!

A chi la precedenza? Facile. Quando incontri un branco di bufali d'acqua, anche se sei in un quartiere residenziale, e nonostante vengano da sinistra senza segnalatori o luci di posizione (e se per sbaglio vi capita di notte siete davvero nei guai), sono sicuramente loro ad averla. E, se serve, superate con cautela. E pensare che qui non sanno cosa sia la mozzarella!

As promised some info on mangoes. There are hundreds of types of mango. Habitually in Europe you import the Tommy Atkins, for the good shell-life. But the country that go, mangos that are. In Asia the most delicious are the Chaunsa, Pakistani Chat Chu and the Elephant mango Apple mango Vietnamese, Kaem Yao and the Malays, the Aug Din Burmese and Thais: Khaew Sawei, Chok,Anan, Nam Dok Mai, Rad, Brahm Kai Meu, Okrong. True delicacies. Everyone has his season. But the coolest thing are plants, rich in foliage and shady. Ideal for a siesta.

Come promesso ci dedichiamo ai manghi. Esistono centinaia di tipi di mango. Abitualmente in Europa si importa il Tommy Atkins, per la struttura resistente. Ma paese che vai, mango che trovi. In Asia i più prelibati sono il Chaunsa pakistano, il Chat Chu e l'Elephant mango vietnamiti, l' Apple mango e il Kaem Yao malesi, l'Aug Din birmano e i Thai: Chok Anan, Khaew Sawei, Nam Dok Mai, Rad, Brahm Kai Meu, Okrong. Vere squisitezze. Ognuno ha la sua stagione. Ma la cosa più bella sono gli alberi, fronzuti e ombrosi. L'ideale per una siesta.

I wonder if in English we say: it's raining, Government thief. To be more precise, it's raining again today. I have set in motion just for dinner and so I discovered, not far from home, this young craftsman who builds stage sets in foam. It has gigantic Buddha!

Chissà se anche in inglese si usa dire: piove, governo ladro. Per essere più precisi piove anche oggi. Mi sono messo in moto giusto per cena e così ho scoperto, non lontano da casa, questo giovane artigiano che costruisce scenografie in schiuma. Ha dei Buddha giganteschi!

4th of July

Today rain, but I managed to go to the flower market anyway. Despite the gloomy light and neon, orchids are always a spectacle. And there are also wild ones.

Anche oggi pioggia, ma un salto al mercato dei fiori sono riuscito a farlo lo stesso. Nonostante la luce cupa e i neon, le orchidee sono sempre uno spettacolo. E si trovano anche quelle selvatiche.
