Gosh! Now our Phuket is becoming a cool place! Beach Clubs at European prices.
Beautiful but preposterous? No!
They have great success, as the Catch of Surin beach, of which I have spoken unto you concerning the Friday Barbecue. A day at the beach at 1,500 baht, that is 40 euros, with food and drink included.
Our favorite beach club? Here It Is. Layan. 100 baht for 2 sunbeds under my favorite tree.

Diavolo! Ormai la nostra Phuket sta diventando un luogo cool!
Nascono beach club dai prezzi europei. Belli ma improponibili? No!
Hanno grande successo, come il Catch di Surin beach, di cui vi ho parlato a riguardo del Friday Barbecue.
Un giorno in spiaggia a 1.500 baht, cioé 40 euro, con cibo e drink inclusi è tanto.
Il nostro beach club preferito? Eccolo. Layan. 100 baht per 2 lettini sotto il mio albero preferito.

What a sunset in Surin. In September, with four dogs (cats don't come to the beach), a Northern tribe seller (at least dressed as Hmong), and lifeguards to protect tourists adventurous who risk every time to drown because of strong undercurrents (unfortunately, every year there is always someone who dies).
And to think that the beaches of Phuket risked running out of the Bay Watch because nobody wanted to compete for the contract...
Little money for too much work. Then, fortunately, the situation has been resolved and these are the very fit Lifeguards with tuk tuk disco and a great desire to have fun at the end of the evening.

Che bello il tramonto a Surin. In settembre, con quatro cani (i gatti non vengono in spiaggia) che corrono, una venditrice del nord (perlomeno vestita da Hmong), e i bagnini a salvaguardia dei turisti avventurosi che rischiano ogni volta di annegare a causa delle forti correnti sottomarine (purtroppo ogni anno c'è sempre qualcuno che ci lascia le penne).
E rpensare che le spiagge di Phuket hanno rischiato di rimanere senza i Baywatch perché nessuno voleva concorrere all'appalto. Pochi soldi per troppo lavoro. Poi, fortunatamente, la situazione si è risolta ed ecco gli aitanti Lifeguards con tuk tuk disco e tanta voglia di divertirsi a fine serata.

Finally we succeeded.
Last night we went to dinner at the legendary buffet at Catch Beach Club in Surin. It was years that we were going to go there. And finally with Belgian and Lady Aom friends we made.
What to say? Gargantuan.
Food to no end of good quality, from New Zealand's oysters to tiger prawns, sushi and kebab, roast chicken and carbonara, vegetables and appetizers. And there I'm saying some cakes. Great food and good company.
Then dj set with Russian and Thai dancers (?) competing for promising farang in adoration.
All starting from 1,180 Baht. Wine included, not the girls!

Finalmente ci siamo riusciti.
Ieri sera siamo andati al mitico buffet dinner del Catch Beach Club a Surin. Era anni che ci proponevamo di andarci. E finalmente con amici belgi e Lady Aom ce l'abbiamo fatta.
Cosa dire? Pantagruelico. Cibo a non finire di ottima qualità, dalle ostriche neozelandesi ai tiger prawns, sushi e kebab, pollo arrosto e carbonara, verdure e stuzzichini. E non vi sto a dire dei dolci. Ottimo cibo e ottima compagnia.
Poi dj set con cubiste (?) russe e thai in competizione per i promettenti farang in adorazione.
Il tutto a partire da 1.180 Baht. Vino incluso, ragazze no!

Wow! Our area is becoming more and more fashionable.
Now the beach club swarm as vendors on the beach. Not only the Xana (of which I have spoken unto you some time ago) but also the Bliss, in Bang Tao that as you can see has swimming pool and restaurant with Italian chef. And in Surin are finalizing another galactic super beach club (we know this because the constructor is a friend of ours). And speaking of buildings. What you can see on the Hill, overlooking the sea, are the villas at Amanpuri, top Surin hotel. There are 12, already sold the modest sum of $ 10 million as a starting. I imagine the Bill with a few aggiuntine here and there.

Wow! La nostra zona sta diventando sempre più di moda. Ormai i beach club pullulano come i venditori sulla spiaggia.
Non solo lo Xana (di cui vi ho parlato qualche tempo fa) ma anche il Bliss, a Bang Tao che come potete vedere ha piscina e ristorante con chef italiano. E a Surin stanno ultimando un altro beach club super galattico (lo sappiamo perché il costruttore è un nostro amico). E a proposito di costruzioni. Quelle che si intravedono sulla collina in fondo, a picco sul mare, sono le ville dell'Amanpuri, top hotel di Surin. Sono 12, già vendute alla modica cifra di 10 milioni di $ come base di partenza. Immagino il conto con un paio di aggiuntine qua e la.
